And so Frank, you must come back to love every day, every minute, even. To be able to love, you must give in over and over. To go to the soft space within you and stay and listen and watch and not run. You must find service to others in your heart. When your rapt attention to their voices, their needs becomes your greatest desire; when your breath and energy become life to another;when you are lost, not in a character, but in the energy of love's perfection, there you will begin. If you are willing to go to those places within yourself you might, just might be ready to begin to learn about love, even Great Love. You may still be blocking your quest. Be open, willing, honest and "leap full-hearted into the void."

Does Mr. Langella have plans for a book? Who does he credit for his philosophy of life besides the characters he has explored on stage? Wonderful interview. Mr. Rose clearly enjoys this guest.

Love this interview. He is a very introspective and wise man. Virtues which makes him very atractive. Hope he finds the love he's searching.

Freud and Klein would have been amused re his thinking about children.
I am amused that tartuffe does not remember Nixon.

I hope you will read this Frank...I was completely captivated by you in this interview! You are an amazing man. I "got" everything you expressed...and so beautifully.
The beauty and good fortune about maturing is the wisdom and insight one gains from it all...What you said about learned is truly important to you now captured my heart...I feel the same way...Your intelligence, thoughtfulness and goodness resonated with me on every level...You are truly a good man...I enjoyed your interview more than any I've ever seen. So much more to say, but I don't want to gush (Hmm...did I already do that? LOL!) Well deserved for sure. Thank you again for your insight and candor...not to mention your excellent work...I can't wait to see your follow-up interview!
With warm regards,
Elly

This is a man who has matured from a young heart throb actor in DRACULA to a major force on stage and screen. And yet his greatest accomplishment is his own personal growth and wisdom. He is at peace with himself, and totally centered, yet still on a quest. I, for one, want to follow him to the end of the journey.

Quite a guy, indeed.

He pulled off his goal in Frost/Nixon. He captured what Nixon must have been. Or maybe what he should have been given his makeup.
Langella's desire to love and be loved was singularly human. Quite a guy.
