I believe Brad Pitt makes any film he is in a singular, better picture. Do not know about other projects.

The comments below this are nasty nasty comments

Brad Pitt I love you, your one of my fav actors

David Fincher I love you, your one of my favourite directors

The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button is a really excellent film, I'll adore forever

And Charlie thank-you, I love you as well

Though I don't think Pitt is a great actor, I like his films, nonetheless. Though none are great, some are more interesting than others.

As a film, I was rather disappointed with _Benjamin_. I liked Fincher's _Fight Club_, but with both of these films there was a tendency to devolve into an Obsession advertisement.

So now I bring you a new online parlor game: Charlie Rose Poker. In this game we pit one past or present interview with another to see which one reveals greater truths and understandings.

I happen to think that culture is being dumbed down across the board and that are leading journalists help to precipitate this cultural decline into Idiocracy.

      So, on with our game.

I will see this interview with Pitt and raise you a 2008 interview with Edward Albee where he makes the case that contemporary theater (I'm throwing in film) insults us and cheats us out of authentic experiences.

What are we going to do in a world without Albees and Mailers? There will be Charlie Rose to lead us down the path of Coke or Pepsi.

I think the film looks good, nominated for 13 oscars so must have something about it, i also as an aspiring actor myself like Brad Pitt as an actor and also as a person he's such a great guy, very inspirational. I'm looking forward to seeing this film soon i hope.

Ha, I think Fincher messed up on the first question.

    6. beets  01/25/2009 01:41 PM Report

geez. such negativity. why are you people wasting your time watching an interview with someone you don't like? that's kind of weird.

anyhoo, this was one of my favorite movies of the year. i only wish cate had a bigger role. great interview too. something that wasn't asked, but i was curious about was whether it was brad's voice throughout the entire movie or if they added any effects to it.

I just saw this movie, because 2 other movies I wanted to see were not playing at the time.

Wow. It was more intense than I expected it too be.

Brad Pitt REALLY needs to thank everybody (seen and not seen) involved with that movie, because they MADE the movie and THEY were the real stars...

Who knew you could so much with a poser and a manikin personality.

Also, a good job of recycling "Forrest Gump".

lostlight, your comment made me laugh

i had no idea how dumb people can be!

      miracles everywhere!!!!!!!!!!!

It may greately depend on the point in life (and acceptance) one got to, for understanding the movie.

To me it seemed a masterpiece, the whole collage of images Jol is talking about makes sense, it makes more sense than anything else and it perfectly mirrors life.

    10. y09  12/28/2008 02:16 PM Report

And whats up wit the name curies case of what whaaaaa...

Its like a tung twister... DAUM

    11. y09  12/28/2008 02:13 PM Report

I agree with you pung!!! Trust me this movie wont win any academy award including best picture I BET ON IT... It seems like brad pit is trying too hard...

    12. jol  12/28/2008 03:30 AM Report

the movie is very good. a little chaotic, like a collage of images - but I guess that's how life is. Brad Pitt is a pretty good actor - though indeed seems like a inarticulate simple guy. in any case I wish them well. they are well meaning people...

    13. renford  12/27/2008 01:28 PM Report

This is the one film I'm really looking forward to seeing this season and although Mr. Pitt might not be the most articulate actor around, his understanding of the film's life themes does come across strongly. I'd rather hear this then some rehearsed sound bites.

    14. pung  12/27/2008 02:09 AM Report

I thought maybe Benjamin Button was something I might see but not anymore. I don't mind themes about death at all but this just sounds depressing. And listening to Pitt was depressing too. To me it just sounds like he likes himself too much, way too much.

    15. mabraham  12/27/2008 01:53 AM Report

What a contrast between the eloquence of the guests of the two previous programs and this pathetic "conversation". Brad Pitt in particular shouldn't be doing promotional tours for his movies. His total inability to articulate a sentence, let alone a thought, really dis serves the movie.

    16. doodahdaze  12/26/2008 01:39 PM Report

Brad Pit is a pitiful actor.

    17. kneegrowsrus  12/26/2008 06:07 AM Report

Some Christmases ago, I remember tuning into the Charlie Rose show to hear a debate on Christianity, religion, and spirituality in general. This year, we get to hear Reverend Pitt's preachings on our saviour Obama and the Finch who stole Christmas bringing us a character so grotesque that I have expelled my Christmas dinner. That aside, it will be entertaining to watch this character and his comrades perform their ironic interpretation of Atlast Shrugged, if they are still game.
