      Thank you Charlie Rose!

For giving us the opportunity to discover the right person, in the right place, at the best moment. Lefèvre and Mathieu: two exceptional personalities. My wife and I were in Paris to listen to Alain Lefèvre playing André Mathieu’s Concerto. We will never ever forget it; we were completely mesmerized by Lefèvre’s performance, and by the genius of Mathieu’s music. We are glad to hear this great pianist now talk about his passion with such intensity and charisma. The communicative power of his interpretation can make anyone, if he is ready, understand music differently; forever. This interview gives us the urge to discover more about the music he plays and the man he is.

My wife and I love your show. Rarely have we seen a guest who is so passionate about his work as Alain Lefevre. His commitment to his art, and his tireless efforts in support of the resurrection of Mathieu are inspiring. Lefevre's work in support of classical music education is so admirable and so fitting of the new spirit of "giving back". Great job, Charlie, in your interview of Mr. Lefevre!

I was thrilled to see Alain Lefevre and Andre Mathieu's music finally given kudos by your show. I first heard the Quebec Concerto theme in 1953 in N.Y. in a film "The Whispering City" and searched for a recording of it for several years. Now, over fifty years later, it is emotionally fulfilling for me to salute Alain Lefevre for his tireless and passionate efforts to successfully restore Mathieu's proper place not only among his peers in Quebec but in all musical realms. Lefevre is indeed an inspiration to all who aspire to learn about and appreciate classical music. I am pleased to rate your interview five stars out of five. Judy Fink Gitelman
