      And, WHICH problem would that neutron bomb exact perfect vengeance on - CONGO or the individuals/corporations raping HER for its sovereign land and resources? Where exactly does that root of dissonance lie?

      My feeling has always been that if other ppl want to kill each other they should be encouraged to do it - the world has a population problem - as long as it doesn't have other consequences. Unfortunately, the Congo is minerally and biologically rich and continued violence will have both economic and environmental consequences esp if allowed to devolve into exploitation of the aforementioned. I am tho not sure what can be done about it as it seems to be tribally based, but the Western powers have to blame themselves for upsetting their territorial balance and driving ppl into cities, providing the weapons and teaching them what to fight over. What we have essentially is a mini-Middle East, and the only real solution I can see other than learning to live with it is to perfect the neutron bomb.
