I love Charlie Rose. I use to stay up to watch him when he was on the network. I remember one of the last shows before he went to PBS was a man who could do rope tricks. He was an older gentlemen. Cowboy Hat and all. Charlie knew to address him as "Sir" during the conversation. What I love about Charlie Rose is he figures out what the guest needs to feel respected enough to trust Charlie Rose with their ideas, and feelings on issues. I think the same night he interviewed a celebrity where it was first names and that was O.K. for where that person's vantage point on respect was.
I stopped watching T.V. at night until I found out where Charlie went. After he left there was a series of other news guys trying to interview people and they looked like they were falling asleep. Finally I think the network just gave up.
