Charlie - I watch your show in Scotland via satellite and also online (new site is great incidentally). I am a huge admirer of Michael Crichton - mostly for his non-fiction book 'Travels', and his intellectual 'take' on life - as opposed to his fiction (which I felt was good as opposed to great). Part of the reason I really felt sad when he passed away, was because I felt I had gotten to know him through your superb interviews. I have watched them all, down the years, and sensed he also enjoyed being interviewed by you because of the probing, sensitive, well-prepared and very warm and gracious way you handled him and his work. He was gifted but complex, and as we know in recent years, very misunderstood man. You did a fine job of settling the hysteria down and presenting him and his work fairly. So, in a week of sadness for those out here who regarded him with great respect and awaited his next work with high anticipation, I just wanted to say thanks to you for enshrining his talents in your program. Had you not done this, the big man's challenging - and big - ideas would have been sliced and diced into dreadful soundbites. Suffice to say, as a final thought, I'm already mourning the lack of future interviews you would have done with him had the fates been kinder. I'll raise a glass to both of you in Scotland tonight. RIP MC. Bravo, his pal, Mr Rose.

I have also watched the Feb 2007 interview. Deeply moved by his sober and sincere presentation. His contribution to Truth will become very clear to us all when we finally wake up from our current hysteria and ignorance. Profoundly grateful to have seen this interview.
Charlie, Michael got it right. Politics is no science.

I just watched the Feb 2007 show a couple of times this last week. Michael's probing intellectually honest nature has been an anchor of hope in the vast sea of mainstream ignorance and rhetoric. What a loss at a time when this kind of rigorous intellectual honesty coupled with his patient caring demeanor is in such short supply.
I would have loved to have heard more on how he would prioritize our civilizations' response to the array of known and perceived threats that loom on that vast expanse of that unknown horizon.
The Future.

What an intelligent, articulate and wise human being he was. So talented. He will be greatly missed.
Charlie, the new website is exquisite. Beautifully designed and of course well-organized. I'm very glad you did not eliminate the comments. They really are an integral part of this forum format and brilliantly accompany the video topics perfectly. When I first saw the new interface I was taken aback because I thought the former interface was very nice and user friendly as well. We are creatures of habit and we do get used to things, but maneuvering through the new site here is just as easy and comfortable as the former. I would expect nothing less from you Charlie, a class act and I stil have a huge crush on you. (smile) Congratulations on the new & improved "CharlieRose.com" website.
