      Hoooray for HICK!

We were friends when we were teens and I think he is a

      outstanding Mayor.

P.S. That is his real hair and he is cuter than he ever was before.

      You Go Guy!

Do what you have to do to keep the cool out there this week. I trust your judgement.

I like the tie the Mayor is wearing. It looks like the "chasing arrows" Recycling symbol??

I am a Denver native who moved away 12 years ago. This is the first time I have seen Hickenlooper speak. What a pleasure it is to see the current mayor being such a great representative of the Mile High City and the people and culture there. Thanks for having him on Charlie!

To slick: That's his hair, it's not a rug. Charlie's stylists might have gone too far smoothing down the cowlicks, but that's the hair we've grown accustomed to in Denver the last five years.

Sorry, forgot the attribution to previous post. Here tis: Denver's CBS4 News reporter Rick Salinger scores an exclusive on Denver's plans for arrested protesters in the event of mass arrests — as proof, he and his camera people got inside and shot this video before being asked to leave.

Linda isn't asking a "Have you stopped beating your wife? query.

      Gitmo on the Platte” ----

“A sign on the wall reads ‘Warning! Electric stun devices used in this facility’.” ----

You know what? We may have to set up a legal defense fund for the PUMAs and others who will be protesting outside the convention center.

For those like me that don't know PUMA means Political Unity My Ass.

Republicans incarcerate as well: This is reminiscent of Manhattan's Pier 57 dubbed Guantanamo on the Hudson, during the 2004 Republican convention. It was a fiasco that ended with a judge ordering the release of 470 protesters or face fines of $1,000. per prisoner per day.

Not 60 seconds after I submitted my message, I see a "diversity" spokeswoman with a shaved? head.

A bad hair day for your program. LOL

    8. slick  08/22/2008 02:18 AM Report

      Hello Charlie.

Guests (such as Hickenlooper) whose "rugs" are so obvious really diminish whatever message you are talking about.

I'm glad I have hair but it is not such a big deal. Except for those who go to extremes to hide the shinny dome.

    9. linda thomas  08/21/2008 11:35 PM Report

      hello charlie,

could you ask the mayor of denver about the chainlink cages they have set to hold arrested protesters?

i heard of this on amy goodman's democracy now! show, and these 5' x 5' cages apparently are in the basement of a building that used to hold voting machines, then they were moved because the building was too warm for them.

also that 500 rooms were reserved for national guard.

      thankyou, linda
