Nice conversation. I just finished Rees most recent book and I'm always interested in hearing him talk. Charlie Rose, as usual, brings us actual quality in an interview show instead of mindless soundbites and plugs.

Yet another theory might be that the space although affects the matter is still something else and that therefore there cannot be unification of physics. The safest approach would be that the space is indeed a primary source of everything and a timeless continuum while matter just cannot be put on the same level of reality.

Very interesting conversation, but Sir Martin Rees has overwhelmed Charlie so much that at some point Charlie is dozing off. Look at his eyes, they are heavy and puffy. You can tell that Charlie is not enjoying this powerful dose of knowledge. Charlie stay away from people whose understanding you cannot quantify. Sir Rees is going on about his dreams while Charlie is wishing not to be there. HA HA HA HA HA...

Scientists are the true role model, with tech pioneers and thinkers at the time of information age.To decrypt the complexity of the XXIst century (science, technology, geopolitic, economy, business arts),knowledge is the true power. Literacy, reading and technologies of information are asymptotic way to reach this knowledge . Thanks to Charlie Rose and TED for democratizing it to average people

Thanks again, Charlie, a wonderful show. Yes we will have a revelation of theory; which we will have, because we already have it. It is a matter of interpretation and a physicist who is also an expert in the Vedas. The earliest Vedic "science" gave it to us pure. Advaita concerns itself with pure reality having considered both molecules and thought.
