Why are so many so called "republicanS" blind to the fact that GOV. MIKE HUCKABEE IS OUR BEST CONSERVATIVE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE! He is the best communicator out of the bunch, and I believe our best hope for defeating the democrats! I hope he is our next president!!!

Not to be overly picky shaft... but it was actually Tom Tancredo that wen to the NAACP event alone, though I understand Huckabee had a legit reason for not being there. Huckabee came to the Tavis Smiley debate were he got a lot of attention for his performance there. But this would not have been the case if he already did not have a track record with the African American community already. While he was a pastor, he played a large role in the desegregation of his church. As Governor, his speech in commemoration of the desegregation of a highschool was through the roof amazing. Also he managed to reach out to the African American community during his campaign to the extent of having CNN's exit polls reflect a 48% minority swing in his direction.
I like Huckabee, him and Hunter are both class acts. I think Hunter's performance at the Tavis debate was exceptional as well... it is shame that these two guys won't likely be having a chance to represent the Republicans because they both show what is best about the parties conservative wing.

Huckabee is a decent Republican, with the kind of decency and positive outlook he has, he deserves to be a Democrat, but then again we all have our own choices. That aside, I think Huckabee is by far the better choice for the Republicans with go with. It is unfortunate, for the Republican Party supporters do not see clearly in nominating the right person. Huckabee went to the NAACP invitation to debate his plan for America, and non of them showed up, but Huckabee apologized on behalf his colleagues, for not respecting the invitation. That is a sign some one is willing to lead the whole America not a partial America. Well, now with the endorsement of the President MaCain may be the front runner for sure, and is unlikely for anyone to the Republican nomination.

Chukmaty, I read your well-considered thoughts with interest. I have personally met Mike Huckabee when he was governor of Arkansas. He is genuine, sincere, intelligent, witty, articulate, decent, knowledgable, caring, etc..,in person one-on-one or speaking to a group. I believe he will make a great President.
Thanks Charlie, for inviting him on your show. Good interview. And, BTW, you're looking better. I've been concerned about your health. It may be the pale colored ties wash you out. Your wardrobe person would be well-advised to put brighter and darker colors next to your face. Your Paris cardiologist was outstanding in his interview. I hope you have in on gain. I pray for your well-being and continued gracious, intelligent hosting, Charlie.

immigrant-citizen,
Siding with rule of law is never xenephobic. For it is the rule of law that great individuals like Duncan Hunter pushed for in his district that allows many legal immigrants to sleep in peace tonight because they do not need to worry about about rampant drug violence tonight. hen Duncan Hunter put a border ence up, drug crime went down 90%. That is not bigotry, that is sensible leadership.
With Huckabee's plan, no one will have to hold thei head down in shame, they will get to be proviledged as you are, not having to worry about dangerous border crossings for the sake of their family. People all around the world will have a fair shot at being a part of a country that abides by law.
Peace :)

Huckabee is the best communicator on the election scene. He is civil, spontaneous, warm, witty, and most refreshing of all the candidates, including Obama, who comes across as a powerful but also a rehearsed and contrived orator. I am a Democrat-leaning Asian immigrant who has done well in America and believes in Huckabee's stance on liberty, personal responsibility, free trade, charity and service, and minimum governmental intrusion. I like Huckabee's fair tax and other socio-economic ideas - however impractical it might be to put IRS out of business, as he suggests. But it is unfortunate that a smart and intelligent guy like him has chosen to side with xenophobic fools on immigration reforms that not just McCain but even Bush, the darling of conservatives, had favored. Also anyone who suggests ammending the constitution to impose the will (religious beliefs) of a few, as Huckabee has said he would in order to win over the Christian fundamentalists, must not become our president or a Supreme Court justice (there are enough polarising idealogues already on the bench). Huckabee will be wasted and suffocated as McCain's veep. Other than that, he has talent deserving of any high profile job in the next cabinet - Republican or Democratic.

Gol-ly, how come Rev. Hucklebee didn't mention his role as Gomer Pyle? I thought he was very good in that role, very patriotic.

I'll probably vote for Obama or Clinton. But the more I hear Huckabee, the more I like him, and find him to be, as Peggy Noonan said, "almost eloquent."

By happenstance one night I saw Mike Huckabee on the Charlie Rose show (some time ago) and immediately I knew that's who I wanted for our next President!

I have been following Governor Huckabee for awhile now. He never ceases to impress me, that is why I voted for him on Super Tuesday up here in wintery Minnesota.
