Harold Ford's middle class flat tax proposal is a great idea. Democrats could win on this issue.

If she wins,Hillary should consider Mr.Ford for VP.I heard him speak at the DLC meeting in Nashville last year and he was fantastic. It is a shame he didn't win his senate race.

Is "lightweight" a compliment in describing Mr. Ford('s discourse)? Or that's to be expected of a junior politico in ascendancy... One thing Mr. Ford seems certain about and that is a big military budget as if it were given and an end in itself. I wish I were also the recipient of such type of certainty. Indeed, how would we pay for big military budgets, Bush's war debt, and the health-care programs advocated by the main Democratic Party presidential candidates?

This was a very informative interview. It shed light on the ideas that of concern to the DNC leadership. Mr. Ford did an excellent job of answering questions. Congatulations to him in his upcomming marriage.

I am hopeful for the future when I see people like Harold Ford Jr. coming to the fore. However, he made 2 comments to Charlie Rose that made me really uncomfortable... first: Andrew Jackson, that "great" Tennessee-an was responsible for the Indian Removal Act of 1830 - one of his many acts of genocide against native peoples, second: he loves big military budgets??? EEK, I thought one thing and now heard another. I'll stay tuned...
