I like Squeaky Tiki so-to-speaky (by the way, that's a compliment to his ability to break tackles). I'm glad he doesn't play anymore, because I hate the Giants, actually I hate everything New Yauk (especially the accents). I got to know who Tiki Barber really is, by listening to his conversations with the late Tony Snow on the radio. I wish him great success with whatever he chooses to do.

I wish Tiki would just shut the hell up about his former team. I appreciate all he's done, but now that he's retired and *still* trying to weasel his way back into the limelight the Giants have put on themselves, I find my respect for him eroding all the more. He no longer has anything to do with this organization; he made that clear with his "dude, I don't really mind that they're in the Super Bowl" speech. Go away, Tiki. Just go AWAY.

    3. Joe Owens  01/22/2008 07:35 PM Report

Tiki is right. The game against the Patriots was the rite of passage Manning and the Giants needed. If the Giants used that game to "rest" for the playoffs, this would have never happened and they would have been eliminated by Tampa Bay.

The New England Patriots have increased the performance level of many teams in the NFL. Essentially, the Patriots' are making the entire NFL better.

Actually, on the interception in overtime, it was an optional read by the receiver. If the defensive back (DB) is on the left shoulder, then the receiver cuts to the inside placing his body between the DB and the ball. If the receiver makes the wrong read and cuts to the outside, it creates a route for the DB to step inside and intercept.

Favre made the right read and pass, the receiver didn't. Game over.

As for the interview with Tiki Barber, it shows again that no matter the talent, the mental aspects of the game, in terms of attitude and focus, are always critical.
