Peter Gomes kind of faith is painting with a wide brush. It means nothing and is going nowhere. He's one of the blind leading the blind. Shooting at nothing and sure to hit it. Another blaw, blaw, blaw, intelectual. What a waste of time!

Charlie this was the first show I watched. I will watch more often. Rev. Gomes really got my attention I looked for his book this evening but I did not remember the title. When I got in this evening I looked him up on the internet and listen to your interview with him again. Thanks for introducing me to him.

THE BIBLE IS A PUZEL SO THAT THE WISE CANNOT UNDERSTAND AND GOD REVEALS HIS TRUTHS TO BABES.

Dear Charlie: What I most cherish is that in the world of Peter Gomes there is "room at the inn" for everyone, even those above the Arctic
Circle and below the Southern boundary. We are all encompassing. When the United Nations spoke
of inclusion by creating the universal acceptance of the rights of indigenous peoples on September 13, 2007, it signaled the end of colonial. Unfortunately, only New Zealand, Australia, Canada and the United States of America could not see the forest. They only saw the trees.

Thank you, Charlie Rose, for having Rev. Gomes on your show on Christmas Eve. Rev. Gomes has a wonderful message for everyone of every faith and none for not only Christmas but everyday. What Rev. Gomes talks about is contained in Jesus's Beatitudes, though he doesn't mention by name the laws Jesus gave us during the Sermon on the Mount. I've often wondered why those who profess to follow Jesus hold more dear the Ten Commandments of the Old Testament instead of the Beatitudes of the New Testament.

The Rev. Gomes confirmed my own faith - if possible, I'd like to correspond with him. I know he's busy, what with memoirs and all, but I feel I have a couple of things to share with him. Please, just let me know if that is possible - and only share my comment if that's the appropriate way to get his attention. Thanks, Marty Flick, San Mateo, CA.
