Wonderful program, thank you for taking us into the galleries at the Met and sharing the expertise of Messrs. de Montebello and Leidtke. I am a Getty Volunteer and have learned that the Museum visitor who is impacted by one work of art is much more enlightened and satisfied than one who is overwhelmed by a wall of pictures, and isn't it wonderful that Marquand, Havemeyer, Getty, Frick and Morgan shared their collections with us -- it is as if we are all mentioned in the will !

Fascinating program. I hope a program featuring the Met's new European Paintings galleries is coming soon -- perhaps 2 hour long programs. (I roamed through and around them today and they're wonderful.)

That was a delightful reminder of the joys of the Met. I have been there so many times and yet each visit is new. Must get there for this exhibit. Thanks Charlie.

I absolutely love the paintings of the Dutch masters and can't wait till I'm in NYC again so I can see this exhibition. I was just at the recently expanded Seattle Art Museum this past weekend and it was the Dutch masters collection there (which is quite impressive) that I most enjoyed.

Speaking of which, has Mr. Rose done or is he thinking of doing a show on SAM? It's a very art impressive museum that greatly improves upon its much smaller predecesor.

Great topic. Always love the gallery visits.

PS: Whoever mic'd Mr. Liedtke needs to return to sound school. There is a cleaver thing called a SOUND CHECK, use it.

Dear Mr. Rose: Thank you so much for the wonderful interview with Mr. Leidtke, curator of the Dutch exhibition at the Met. His insights into the works and their history were very enlightening; tho we live in Knoxville, TN, we will be in NYC soon, and will be sure to visit the exhibit. Having seen this discussion will make the visit that much more meaningful. Sincerely, LRWaugh

Very interesting show ... I would love for Mr. Rose to add more art discussions to his show ... to lighten the heavy listening required for the incessant coverage of Israel and Iraq ... both vital and important .. but more variety would be welcome.

Who lit this program? The lightening was horribly unflattering to Mr. Rose and his guests.
