my husband, a hungarian who spoke 5 languages before he met me 32 years ago to learn english and learned turkishon his own for the love of that very rich literature...making it seven languages he can read without a dictionary, has told me for years that it is long due to award the literature nobel to yasar kemal, who with nazim hikmet and aziz nesin, paved the way for the cultivation of beautiful literature, so giving the prize to any anatolian writer will enrich Turkish literature.

It was with much interest to listen to the "voice" of my all time favorite author. I heard it previously in his writings and one always conjectures notions about Pamuk a true wordsmith wizard, he reveals human plight with such accuracy that it captures man's deep emotional involvement, as well as a true reflection of a life with its unfolding events in a beautiful historical landscape. One can't turn back the clock but for those who belong to ancient civilizations, traditions with a love of history I am touched that his current heritage is being captured in beautiful prose for posterity. His books are a marvelous pendelum of motion that is hard to put down because even when you read the last chapter his IDEAS linger on and on...Thank you for the interview!!!
