      Viewed the conversation with Lucinda Franks (rerun) for first time today. Was annoyed because not once did Charlie or Ms. Franks mention her father's name. Why? WHO WAS HE? I was so intent on hearing his name that lack of that knowledge (or a reason for not giving it) spoiled the entire conversation ...

      am off to the Library to find the book. Trauma of many simple farm folks caught up in horrors of WWII must have been common on this brutal war. Burns program on the War coming in Sept will probably mention this.
