I just had the chance to watch the interview with Connie Schultz which I had recorded. What an intelligent and witty woman! I am always so proud when women of this calliber are featured on such a well-respected show. I'm just sorry that the percentage of women interviewed isn't near what it should be, considering their percent of the American public (and probably the viewing audience). Charlie, you have the power to do something about this! Also, I know you love women (as you stated on this show) - BUT please cut down on the flirting and allow these wonderful women the serious attention they deserve.

Bravo my man! This Canadian has only been watching for a couple of years, but I was along for the pairing of these two! This was one of the most enjoyable thrust and parries on so many unspoken levels. Bravo, I'm hooked!

Have you measured your verbage vs. Connie Shultz's verbage on the Aug. 29 show? You interrupted her so many times, and did more of the talking than she did! And you treated her as a buffoon. Why is this? I would have loved to hear her finish her answers, and hear more of her own ideas, instead of your pre-supposed versions of her ideas. If you know so much about these people, then why do you interview them in front of us? She has a quick sense of humor apparently, and you fell in to making a comedian of her. Surely she's not.

The all too short interview with Connie Schultz was one of the best I've seen on Charlie Rose.

I love your show, but unfortunately, it is shown at noon, a day late, as a re-run on Maryland Public Television. Half the time noon comes and goes before I realize I've missed you again.

Thanks for your wit and wisdom.

Delightful! Connie Schultz was in my class at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law; I moved to Chicago before she started writing her column, and I was thrilled and very proud to learn that the Connie Schultz who won the Pulitzer Prize was indeed my former classmate. Add a book and an appearance with Charlie Rose -- does it get any better than that?

The interview was a joy -- two people having a lot of fun talking together -- and I hope that you can find an opportunity to bring her back.

My wife and I heard Connie Schultz talk about her book in Columbus last month. We loved her quick wit and replies to questions. Her writings about her blue collar roots really resonated with us since both of us come from similar backgrounds. First and foremost, she is truly gifted in being able to bring heat and light to an issue. Below is the link to her columns that won her the Pulitizer in 2005 for Commentary:

Ghandi, Thatcher, Meier--all women, true, but women who achieved office in heavily male-dominated systems. They achieved on men's terms, with men's approval. These systems had with very few of the reforms--for want of a better word-- Ms. Schultz mentions.

Great guest-- smart, funny, insightful, honest. Will follow her work on Creators.com.

The two year anniversary of Katrina and not a trace of this on your program Mr. Rose. The New Gilded Age, I reckon. Shame on you. Shame on you.

Your show is the bright spot for my quiet time most evenings.I have never been inclined to write in to any show - but, really enjoyed interview with Connie Schultz! Charlie and her seemed to genuinely enjoy their banter -it would be easy and lively to have her on for a whole hour. In a short time she expressed many of my feelings about upcoming election. Mainly, you 'guys' have had your opportunities and things are...well.... you know...

Wouldn't it be nice to envision a meeting 2 years from now... "Madame President" is meeting with important dignaries... and she is confident enough to say... "I am a little unclear (LOST) about the policy you describe...could you ("HELP ME WITH SOME DIRECTIONS") on how we might best work together on that. Hhmmmm how might things be different in the world...
