Charlie, I cannot tell you how impressed I was with Mr. Churkin. If ever there was a man born to be an ambassabor it is he. What is his background? He seems very westernized. Steve

Hopefully, CR will provide more time to the mainstream Russian position. In comparison, on CR, there seems to be an overload of views from Richard Holbrooke and Zbigniew Brzezinski. Individuals whose views are in general disagreement with mainstream Russian perspectives. Frequent CR guest Stephen Cohen is kind of in the middle between Churkin/Lavbrov and Holbrooke/Brzezinski. Being in the middle and having the likes of Holbrooke and Brzezinski isn't an objective overview of former USSR matter.

My pride as a Russian American was elevated by the extraordinary presentation on your program by Vitaly Churkin. All Americans need to hear more from Russians such as Ambassador Churkin. Thank you! Dr. Patricia J. Thompson/Yelena V. Mayakovskaya

Iâ??ve never seen or heard Mr. Churkin speak before - and found his demeanor impressive. However, I was kind of disappointed with Mr. Roseâ??s questions - there were stock questions about Russia as covered in American media. I realize thatâ??s difficult to get to the essence of as many subject as Mr. Rose covers, but I would have love to see his expertise in Russia match his knowledge and passion of all things French.

Enough already with what Americans think about our relations with Russia. I want to know what this guy thinks. He's very credible.

An eloquent explanation of issues and for conflict, vindification of Russian foreign poicy, clear and succint verbalism. Demonstrates Russian rationale with respect to world issues. Leading the U.N. on the security issues. Contributer:A friend and relative from California who had the USAID consultant status which overrode the privatization of natural resources by standard U.S. policy.
