Haley Barbour is the best governor Mississippi has ever had and we are fortunate to have him. He has truly given his best effort to help the Mississippi Gulf Coast recover from Hurricane Katrina, when it is still struggling mightily.

He may have an accent, but I can assure you Haley Barbour is one of the kindest, most decent people you could meet.

Haley Barbour is a great American and great governor. Thank you for broadcasting such a great man and I wish we had a Candidate Barbour in 2008 to bring America into the right path.

I love your show, and stay up to watch it, until you have someone on there like Haley Barbour, who is a total hypocrite and loser. After about 5 minutes, I turned it off. Come on Charlie, if you are gonna' interview politicians, please pick someone who is credible.

      Dear Charlie Rose,

I have been watching your show ever since it has been on the air. Your in-depth interviewing in unique in TV.

Some time back, I was disturbed at what I perceived as a rather harsh and uncharacteristic interview of Ramsay Clark. But I thought, oh what the heck, you are just doing your job at being insightful.

Then there was last night.. and while I enjoyed your interview with Arne Glimcher and Bernice Rose.. I was extremely uncomfortable with your interview with Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour.

The Governor made some very bigoted remarks about gays. I think you had an obligation, not to your audience, but to the very essence of your program and to yourself as an educated individual to at least call the Governor on some of his remarks in much the same way that you showed disagreement with some of Ramsay Clark's views.

You seemed to be agreeing with the Governor's bigoted remarks. I know you are not a bigot, but someone viewing your program for the first time would think that you were.

No one is asking you to please you audience, but with most of your audience made up of gays and people who believe in equal rights for gays and lesbians it would not have been detrimental to your career to have shown disdain for this kind of bigotry.

      Still love your show.

      Sincerely,

      Wayne Spencer

Charlie, the diversity of your guests always surprises me. Thanks again for introducing me to another point of view.
