Couples in good health with high incomes and no ankle biters usually are pretty happy, whether they're black, white, red or green.

      Great job Charlie.

I don't want to get into that. Why Mrs. Cohen is wearing blue contact lenses if she is. I really don't care. It was a fad with many people a decade ago and who cares? The story is about a love story between a man and a woman who found each unconditionally in love. And that is a beautiful thing. Leave it there....

    4. J. Anderson  05/29/2008 10:42 AM Report

Why does Janet feel the need to wear blue contact lenses? The answer to that question will give you some insight into what is really going on in America whereby some "blacks" feel the need to try to "whiten" themselves. We had hoped that need went away years ago (e.g. Lena Horne, "Immitations of Life)", but clearly it hasn't. Think about it...

What a fascinating couple. I have never known that Cohen is married to a black woman. I doubt the fact that people would not vote for Obama for he is part black. Although part black is considered just as black, the fact is Obama is part white. To me, he is black unless the issue of parental linage comes in discussion.

Glad I googled! ha ha ha.... I've always admired Mrs. Cohen when she hosted the ABC morning show not hosted with Regis, etc. I met her once and she was just as poised in person as in TV.

Cohen's love story is special and as the previous comment stated: "a truly genuine, loving and naturally devoted couple.. 14 yrs later.... They compliment each other.. Two warm personalities that sizzle... As for race, when I see them I see a harmonious spirit! It's sweet how her blushing shines through her rouge... hee hee hee... And Kudos to Charlie Rose to giving another quality interview... :)

Ta-ta for now and Abundant Blessings to you,

What a complement to each other this couple is. It is so rare that I see an interracial couple who are truly genuine, loving and naturally devoted to one another . The former Secretary of Defense is so distinguished and grounded in his love for his wife and Janet is so sophisticated, classy, and entirely devoted to her husband that the color lines between them are completely seamless. These two embody so effortlessly the lesson of truth of what love is and means between a man and a woman from different worlds, without pretense, without airs, without agendas, just pure, honest and devoted love. A pleasure to watch them together. He is the ambassador and she is the ambassadress, fine role models for the world to see just how it is done.

I was very impressed with this interview. Charlie did a wonderful job with the questions and the Cohens did an excellent job answering them with such honesty. God bless them both, we need more people of that generation that can look pass a person's skin color, and see them as just people, as they are.

    9. G Nisson  05/15/2007 09:34 PM Report

      The Cohens were delightful.

There was a discussion about the factor of race in Obama's chances of winning the nomination of the Democratic Party and being elected President. For some of us who know how much we didn't know when we were Obama's age, Obamaâ??s relatively young age and his and John Edward's limited experience are serious problems. We like Obama and Edwards, but we want to make sure that they are wiser and more knowledgeable than we would be with so few years or so little political experience. There are so many challenges facing the nation and the planet now that we want to hear in depth discussions on the issues. On the other hand, we may vote for Obama or Edwards because we may not think the other candidates are wise enough despite their age and knowledge.

It is going to be an interesting election.
