Having read Freakonomics, I understand the author's technique. I have not read SuperFreakonomics but hear about drunk walking. Drunk walking is more dangerous than drunk driving is a false assertion. Miles traveled is common but average speed comprises validity.
Identifying unintended consequences is by definition hard and political incorrect. Programs tend to get political dimensions.
