Description

Director Spike Lee discusses his new documentary "Get on the Bus", which chronicles the Million Man March, a massive rally on the National Mall in 1995, convened by Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan. The aim of the event was to register more African Americans to vote and increase African American participation in volunteerism and community activism. Lee talks about his experiences chronicling the event, considers its legacy, and offers his opinions on the state of African Americans in U.S. society.
