Since the so called "Christian wise men" highjacked Plato's ideas about God in the IV century of present era humans in power got the dubious right to impose their will to large crowds of ignorant masses in the name of a particular God and what has been worse is the unpunishable massacres that this so called sacred rights have allowed. For the large crowd that will say that this is BS I ask, have you ever read the history from the side of the victims?

I tell yo something you ignore, the holocaust of Native America by Spaniards in the XVI century and since 1600 by the rest of European and European decendants so far has one single culprit: the Bull that the unbelievably corrupt man Rodrigo Borgia, known as Pope Alexander VI in 1498, on it he gave the "New discovered lands" with all its Natural and Human resources included to Spain's sn Portugal's Crowns.

It has been enough for all Christian Europeans to claim from then on divine rights on these lands its people and resources; this is why The American Natives are the monority most massacred and dispossesed in the human history; crime that still suck their blood and eat their meat.

An estimated of one hundred million people were holocausted in the XVI century and twice that amount in the next four centuries as a consequence of the politices impossed and based in that mentioned Pope's Bull.

There is a subconscious hate against Native American in the heart of the White Christian men derived from such a so called divine right.

The Roman Catholic Church has an unredeemmeable responsability in such an infinitely monster crime. Jesus Christ isn't an American Native God so there is neither their business to suffer for his fate nor adopt his faith.

I cannot stress enough my hunger to hear Ayaan Hirsi Ali speak to the significant issues that she continues to champion (human rights, women's rights, democracy). Christopher Hitchens and Richard Dawkins have dedicated the entire earnings from DVD sales of 'The Four Horsemen', an epic conversation on religion, to funding Ali's security. The issues that she champions resonate strongly with the zeitgist of this 21st century; and it is, for me, imperative that Ali's courageous voice be heard, and heard here, as she represents so strongly the spirit of Charlie Rose.

When I was young, there were two things that could not be openly discussed in any gathering of people.politics and religion. Religion appears to be a forbidden topic for open discussion, even now. In America we talk openly as far as politics go,but religion still seems to be off-base. Why is this so? They are the two most powerful, influential, and controlling forces within this world. Their impact upon the lives of people all around this world is well known by all, yet we are forbidden to discuss the full impact, and the tolls that these two, institutionalized groups of persons have upon our daily lives? What are they afraid of? And, indeed why do we fear the two of them? I think that all of us know the answer to this question.

Larry Moss, above, constructed a fine, mincing set of sentences but he communicated nothing usefully.

      ...

Hitchens upsets me as well, but being challenged is a lot better than being reassured.

      ...

I noticed none of the "lies" to which Moss refers. An honest person would have identified those lies.

It is refreshing to see someone like Christopher Hitchens, who has travelled to the middle east many times, speak so bluntly regarding Iran, the violent acts comitted and the connections to terror. It is time for people in this county to open their eyes and see what we are up against in this age. These discussions are important to have. Thank you for having a well researched, intellegent and direct guest such as Mr. Hitchens on your show. I look forward to hearing more from such experienced writers.

    6. Larry Moss  05/05/2007 01:57 AM Report

I watched the Christopher Hitchens's interview. It was quite upsetting. Mr. Hitchens' comments, especially those related to Iran and the alleged violent acts among, various secular groups therein, borders on an abject lie.

Mr. Rose, please sir, be a little more select about your choices on your show. And, please be a bit more responsive to statements by guests that are lies. This may seem a slightly off request, but it is one that determines the degree in which one values your programming, as well as the manner in which one may be influenced about important issues like the US's stance in Iran and other foreign lands.
