He is the consummate artist. Not only painters, like Joan, but also musicians, actors, and everyone involved in the arts will benefit from listening to the man Baryshnikov, eavesdropping on his elegant psyche. I teach college and I will make this mandatory viewing for my class. In an era when students feel entitled to everything, they can learn a lesson or two about how rewarding it can be to reach out from within. Charlie, thank you for your sensitivity.

I´m from Argentina and i´m a dancer.
I loved this interview, really.
I´m 19, and he´s, under my point of view, the most important dancer in ballet history.
I love him, because he´s wonderfull as a dancer and as a human been.

As an artist in a paint medium I find it interesting that Mikhail talks about his dancing the way I feel about my painting. The part of us, our soul that becomes intimately part of our work. The way we execute the emotion that is seen in his work and hopefully in mine.His is much more gentle and subtle where mine is right out there on the painting surface, bold, forward and open.It is wonderful to be able to see and hear Mikhail, as I am sure I will never be able to see him in person. Thank you so much for brightening my day.
