Sorry for my errors, it is 5:oo a.m. and I am so sleepy, but the Temptations concert is on, and I am loving it and feeling said at the same time. There struggles should never had happened with so many Motown artist. When I read poor Florence situation. Where were you? Enjoying your life, while she was struggling. You couldn't put your feet in her shoes or anybody elses, except those close to you. That's the sad part about Motown. Motown left many of the artist broke. The same ones that made you rich. Live on!!!!!!!!

I went to the Motown revues, so that tells you that I grew up in that era. My Aunt leaved on Lothop and 12th. Right down the street from Motown around that time. I had an autograph record from the original Temptations on the 45 "I Want A Love I Can See", which is a song I loved. Some kind of way that 45 ended up missing.
My comment is that I recently heard that while Berry was making millions, at the height of the Temptation's, they only made $200.00 a show for years. I know that business is business. Contracts are honored, but God does not believe in greed when you can help someone. That has all to do with HEART. There were visibly Motown Stars that needed help when they were concerned about there future. If they maded me mega bucks, I sure would have looked out for them, regardless of contracts. I had an indpendent record company which started out good, but due to relationship problems with a well known group member (who I will not name),it ended. I could never turn my back on any of them, if I made a significant amount of money. A lot of Motown artist died with financial problems. When your heart rules, yhou do the right thing, especially if you are getting rich off of those artist. History was amde there, along with pain and suffering. Thank God the music business has changed, and artist are making money too. You don't hear those same complaints you heard when Motown artist were feeing like they had been conned by a Con Artist. (My Dad was a master of the game, thank God my mother didn't allow us to be in his life). It would have been a misable life. Just like a lot of Motown artist. Berry Gordy, you did well, but you failed. (I may be wrong but my personal opinion is that God is probably not that pleased with you unless you asked for forgiveness). But the truth is that most people that gain on the level you are at, block that thought. Of course you would say, "I was right, a deal is a deal, so be it, simple as that". G.B.Y Mr. Gordy.
