Bob McNamara was an exceptional individual with a complicated legacy. I respect that he would not comment on how history should view him. Anybody who with enough hubris to expound on how history should view him is an egomaniac. I started to tear up at the end when he spoke about public service. In the current era of online gossip/journalism and public cynicism, that message needs to be broadcast.
