As a Hip-Hop musician, I cannot help pointing out a mistake made by Mr. Charlie Rose (never thought Id be in any position to do that!).

When giving examples of musical styles and the cities we associate them with, Mr. Rose said that Rap (Hip Hop) originated in Detroit.

I would like to correct that and clearly state that Hip Hop (and rap music) originated in New York (more precisely, the South Bronx). Not Detroit.

      Thank you.

PS: I'll post a new comment if I ever catch Mr Rose making another mistake as such, which I doubt will ever happen...

Apart from that detail, great interview as usual...
