I agree with Paul, I think all of Krakauer's books (or at least those I have read so far) are very well written, full of stunning detail and really engrossing. I wish Charlie Rose had asked him a little more about his role as a writer when writing this book rather than focusing so much on Chris McCandless and his story. I wonder if Krakauer ever gets tired of speaking on behalf of him.

An inspiring story, and one that gives me something to think about. The movie was well done, as was the book. Something we all need to think about.

I missed this interview, but I would like to say that I have read everyone of Jon's books and was overly delighted with all. A great author with the ability to capture the reader and take them on a awesom ride all the way to the end.
