      I always loved your show.

We all are intereted in resolving ever increasing Oil prices burning issue desperately. Here are my thoughts:

      1. This issue is more political then demand and supply issue as it is currntly portrayed.

      2. We have to stop blaming other countries for increasing gas demand, we must look closely our own home first.

      3. No one in the country is urging general public to reduce unnecessary trips and also to reduce the car usage.

      4. There must be (minimum of $1000.00) yearly registration fee to discoutage buying over 1.5 liters engine vehicles rather than relying on Automobile industry to come up with the solutions.

      5. We must impose (at least $1.50/gal) tax on gas and that money must strickly be used to develop mass transporatation, and not for any thing else.

      These are my 2cents.

      Victor

Hello Charlie: Just finished watching(second time) your visit with Daniel Yergin. It comes on my TV via Ch. 3 - WEDU Tampa, FL. and if I miss the night time event, I can catch it a few days later. This, I think the latest one, first aired on the 27 of June 2008, is one of the best interviews I have seen you give. I watch you always when I can catch you on and you have had some very informative people on your programs.

I like the approach to your guests in which you are direct and your questions make sense. In fact, I look forward to seeing you during the week.

It seems that people in constant dealings with oil companies have missed the boat, so to speak, and have become complacent. Each party, Democrats and Republicans keep blaming each other for the high prices of oil, gas and food. Didn't any of them look to the future and make plans for it? I feel we have been let down and are suffering for the lack of someone to take the bull by the horns and admit their inept decisions and correct them before it gets any worse.

One last sentence for you. Charlie, why don't you run for President as the only two choices we have for this presidential election stinks.

I will keep on watching you as you are soooo interesting and have such wonderful guests.

      Sincerely,

      Martha L. Tyler - powerup11.1@juno.com
