Dear Tommy,
I was looking for a single famous man. So sorry if you are married. I am a hula dancer in Australia. I am close to your age but don't tell anybody because at the moment I still look good in my grass skirt and coconut bra. I have not dated anyone in 7 years because apparently I'm too picky. I am not a gold digger, I own a lovely home on big land here and I am not afraid of hard work. I am a choreographer, producer and director of my own Polynesian shows. We corner the market here, cause yeh, how many Hawaiians are in Australia?? I'd just like to meet a guy who is funny, interesting, artistic, and is somewhat goal oriented. I am a very passionate woman in more ways than one. So my dear, though I find you attractive, and talented, if you are taken, I apologize. Perhaps you can fix me up with someone decent. I go to a Baptist church every Sunday, but don't let that scare ya. I love to sing, play my ukulele, and dance hula and surf. And ofcourse I love movies. I've done a lot of extra work, just as a job. I am not an actress nor do I aspire to be. I get enough satisfaction performing in my own Polynesian shows. So I've told you all about me because I am looking for a man to love. And unfortunately this is a one way conversation. If you are single tell me about yourself. If not tell someone about me. Mahalo
Aloha,
Atete Melelani Punahele

This interview with Tommy Lee Jones should have been an hour. It would have been insightful to get his comments on earlier films like the cult favorite, "Rolling Thunder" about the Vietnam war. This is an actor who really has some very strong principles about the films he selects and his take on Hollywood. Another favorite film was "The Missing"--a very brutal film in which he took center stage. What is more telling is the fact that he returned to his home although he could have lived in LA. That alone spoke volumes about Tommy Lee Jones, the man. Please do a follow-up interview. He is a very sensitive actor--something that a lot of people probably miss.
