      This came up in a conversation I had a couple of days ago.If a presidential nominee (ie) McCain or Obama were to die or be unable to run due to a medical condition,would the Vice Presidential nominees assume the role of presidential candidates for the election or would the parties have to nominate a new canditate for the position. I've never seen this question asked. Thank You-- Joe
