Interesting program from three men from a literary generation who inspired younger men from a visual generation to perform a difficult feat of magic: turning words into pictures! I don't know if "Breakfast of Champions" and "Slapstick (of Another Kind)" were released prior to this show, but somehow I don't think that Mr. Vonnegut would have been as pleased with these adaptations as he was with the two that were mentioned. As brilliant as Bruce Willis is as an actor, I didn't buy him as Dwayne Hoover and an element of Political Correctness that I sensed was injected into the film while making it "less offensive" minimized its central message as Huckleberry Finn would have been weakened if the character of Jim wasn't treated the way he was and the attitude toward slavery was addressed in the novel. Great conversation and educational for people who, in March 2009, will be preparing to watch an adaptation of a novel that's also a comic book: Watchmen.
