All of these guys would do well to read "The Shock Doctrine" and observe the ungracious choices that ill serve any nation to make.

One does not disenfranchise a people in their own land without inviting instructive consequence to one's self in one's own land. It's the Law of Turning Around, Revolution. Our history and the history of the world demonstrates this. The current jerks in the White House are too blind and stupid to see this. A gracious nation grows in power and influence. An ungracious nation diminishes in the same. What is so hard to understand?
Grand stategies for getting around these things? We deserve the consequences we invite.

We all love the Charlie Rose show for its consistent presentation of timely topics and engaging, intelligent guests. But, as yesterday's dreadful interview with Richard Holbrooke demonstrates, Charlie continues to sabotage his own program by stubbornly hanging on to his maddeningly bad interviewing habits: interrupting guests just as they are about to say something very interesting or central to the discussion, talking as much or more than his guests and skewing objectivity by constantly defending the Bush Administration and/or conservative viewpoints. His futile ranting during last night's interview took up so much airtime that there was no chance of discussing a key Holbrooke theme, Kosovo. The interview was reminiscent of the infamously botched Noam Chomsky interview of a few years ago.

Mr. Rose,
I am an ardent fan of yours. I watch your show three or four times a week. Your insighful questions, knowledge of the subject and lack of editorial intrusion raises your show above most media shows. The "so called exclusive interviews" slanted by the owners and reporters of conglomerate news bureaus with their editoral bias makes your show a freshing breath of fresh air offering independendet, objective journalism. That said, I was taken-a-back by your interview with Ambassor Holbrouck (spelling questionable). I found your performance bagering, in many instances, partiuclarlty towards the end of the interview, which is on and above your normal style. Your gave little, if not no time, for the Amassador to answer your relentless questioning. I found you inability to listen,(which is unusual) to allow your quest to respond to the questions baffeling. Your consistant interjectsion of your opinionated questions over shadowed the time and ability for the Ambassador to resond. In affect you became the center of the show. If I want to watch that overbearing style of journalism I well as much watch CNN, MSNBC, or Fox News: which I will NOT! Sincerly, Micahel Sullivan, Washinton, DC

Charlie Rose, I love your show. It is some of the best analysis on television, and your ability to bring out important points from your guests is the keystone to the show's value.
However, you seemed out of sorts with Richard Holbrooke tonight. You repeatedly stepped on his analysis and responses, which ruined an opportunity to learn from one of the most knowledgeable and experienced international analysists and ambassadors in the world. As a viewer, I am most interested in Mr. Holbrooke's comments. I feel that I was robbed of the opportunity to learn from Mr. Holbrooke by your constant interuptions. I was frustrated by your interview, and I'm certain that Mr. Holbrooke must be furious!
Please apologize to Mr. Holbrooke, and invite him back on the show ASAP, with the promise that you'll restrain yourself. I think I and other viewers would like to give you a "mulligan" on this interview.

Please don't let Charlie have any more coffee! Poor Richard Holbrooke couldn't get a word in edge ways tonight.
I have watched the show for years and really appreciate the quality and caliber of the guests but really Charlie, "Less is More". I feel for the guests, since I often cannot remember the question after so many multiple talking points and qualifiers. We know you are intelligent you don't need to continually prove it to us. Just relax and draw these people out instead of machine gunning them with questions. After all, it's the guests opinions we tune in to hear.

Bush defines success.
Except he forgot one thing: Everyone gets a puppy and an ice cream cone.
Both things are just as likely.
