Joe Henderson - truly one of the greatest innovators of all time. That beautiful tenor sound, all his own, reflecting the spirit of this gracious man.

Maybe it is because I am a senior citizen but to use the vernacular of the youth,

      "HE IS THE BOMB"

    5. Rufus Reid  12/20/2007 08:55 PM Report

Joe Henderson is one of the really special breed of musicians. He was a quiet man with a lot of fire in his playing. He was complex and yet accessible. He was very humble as you can see, but very confident! I feel very fortunate to have made music with him. It was always a total joy!

      I miss him.
