This is matter of fact in history. Believe the report because of reputable people such as Mr. Rose and other sources you reserch. Rule out questionable and hostile sources. This is a matter of fact in history. People don't make up such things and go to all the trouble to report atrocity. Think about it. Nobody is pushing anything but their experience and facts. Is it really over? If you are still going through things that have happened to you and your family. None of us were born during the Civil War for example, but it still happened and affects us in that the nation even exists today. Think about that the nation would not even exist as it is today without the Civil War. No one is shoving anything down any throat. This is just matter of fact real family history and it is very important to everyone to keep the peace and provide freedom for everyone. Unpleasantness is part of living everyday. We must face reality both bad and good. I hope you have a life without problems, but that isn't at all likely. Problems are every day, but so are good things. Blessings.

I find this story very hard to believe. I don't see any signs of torture. Where? And where has Ms Zisblatt been all these years? Why is she suddenly coming out now with her tale?

      Why should we believe her?

It's over. I wasn't even born yet. Why is this being shoved down my throat?

      Linda,

I had the privilege of going to Poland and Israel with Irene on the March of the Living in 2004. She has just published her book and it is indeed called The Fifth Diamond. It is available by calling her; if you want her number feel free to email me at polakoff at gmail dot com.

I have had the opportunity to interpret (in sign language) for deaf students who attended a presentation by Irene Zisblatt when she visited a Jupiter High School in FL to talk to the students about her experiences during the Holocaust. The most important thing she told us, was to never forget, and that everyone needs to know about the experiences in the Holocaust. After all, Irene said, some day there will be no living survivors left. All of us...need to keep this alive, to educate all people, regardless of race, to never let this happen again. I thank Irene for visiting Jupiter High School in Jupiter, FL, to share her experiences and most of all, her courage and strength to carry on. In fact, one teacher that I work with at Independence Middle School in Jupiter, FL, has already started educating her eighth grade students now, and not wait until high school when this information is typically presented in class. I will always remember the story you told us about the 4 diamonds you kept in your skirt as a young girl in the concentration camp. I recall your friend during the Holocaust who told you that you should write a book someday, and that it should be called, "The Fifth Diamond". I check from time to time to see if find a book called, "The Fifth Diamond". I look forward to reading your book someday when it is published. I just want you to know that I honor you, and thank you, Irene. Sincerely, Linda Sinotte, Stuart, FL.
