An interview with singer/songwriter Dave Matthews of the Dave Matthews Band, in which the South African musician talks about moving to Virginia, the improving racial policies of the South African government, and assembling his band. He also discusses his band's album, "Before These Crowded Streets", and gives a short performance.

Charlie you are truly a gifted journalist, trying not too gush too much about your talent. Intellectual conversations are not easy to find let alone bring such an elegant form to them. I am grateful to have the privilage of enjoying your interviews over and over again. Dave Matthews is one of my favorite people to watch on stage as well as on your show. To have two great people both of which I think highly at the same table made me sit with my undiverted attention towards a screen the entire interview...not too common.

Thank you so much for all of your wonderful interviews. This is one in particular with Dave Matthews is such a sweet find. You're on a little late for a working girl, but thank goodness for the internet! I appreciate all you do and hope you can continue to get joy out of it for as long as you do it.
