I don't have much time to write a lenghty review. I need to return some videotapes.
Best satire I have ever seen. Every moment of this film is hilariously on point with just how wound up with status people can become. Every time I watch it, it always comes alive with the passion and exhuberance that it portrays so well. I have to say, though, the very first time I watched it (I saw it in the theater when it was first released) it took several days afterward for it to sink in completely. I didn't know what to think. I went to the theater with a friend and thought it was amazing, but strangely odd at the same time. Then after those few days it completely sunk in and became even more amazing to me. Cheers to the author, director and all the actors for their brilliant portrails of the worst aspect of the 1980s and how some people ... just want to fit in.

American Psycho is a brilliant book and film. I am a huge fan of both Ellis and Bale. I think they are both amazingly talented. Christian Bale is seriously gorgeous and a genius as far as acting. He is amazing. I will always be a fan and Psycho is the best. I was Patrick Bateman for Halloween, even have pictures on my my space page to prove it.

I'm just going to go ahead and second T.G.'s comment.
Staring with "Empire of the Sun" in 1987, Bale has been consistently excellent. He's a wonderful actor, and I'll gladly watch anything he's in.

Christian Bale is absolutely brilliant!!!! It's hard to think of any actor that can capture the viewer's attention quite the way he does.He always seems to amaze me with his amazing ability to captivate ,mesmerize, intice, intrigue, engage, thrill, humor, and terrify you all in one movie.American Psycho was the movie that put Christian on the map,and it will forever be one of his most compelling, most controversial, yet gutsy performances ever.
I truly love Christian Bale, and I anticipate the day that he will make his acception speech at the Academy Awards. He has been so underrated, and overlooked for some of his most brilliant performances,ie,Batman Begins,Rescue Dawn,The Machinist,3:10 To Yuma,& TDK,to name a few.I hope he will someday get the recognition he so well deserves, and be greatly rewarded for it.
