Will Shortz deserves plenty of credit for bringing crossword puzzles to a greater than ever spectrum of the American population. And the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament is an event I look forward to and practice for each year. I was 74th out of 699 contestants in the 2008 contest, which I'm pretty proud of. I was also in a few scenes of "Wordplay" as an extra. Will says that the people who attend the tournament tend to be nice folks. He should include himself in that statement. Will Shortz does great work and is a great guy.
