Ajami lies when he says, "I wasn't one of the people who were beating the drums of war.". Have a look at Charlie's interview with him on March 3 2003 where he does beat the drum. Why does Charlie not review his own files when interviewing?

Hi Charlie,
Fouad Ajami having been in Iraq at least ten times and having conversed with the leaders of the country of Iraq has a unique grasp of what is going on and taking place in Iraq. Also talking with the people in Iraq other than the leaders only, also gives him a unique and larger/broader perspective on events taking place in Iraq. Perhaps more so than some of our people in Iraq as Fouad can speak their language.

This person, Mr. 'Ajami, sold us the war on Iraq and now he says he had nothing to do with it.
On top of that Charli, you have given him a stage to sell a new book.
This person is unintellectual bankrupt, and too bad he is give a voice in any where, not just in America.

To Letty Rush: I do not mean to sound sarcastic, but it is in the book from which it was read (available at fine booksellers everywhere).

During the show there were several mentions of a poem by Mr. Ajami, "The Song of Rain." Search as hard as I might, I just can't find it. Can someone tell me where 'tis?
Would be much appreciated.
