In addition to Parker's gifted palate, it was his Americanism that changed for better or worse the experiences of so many wine lovers. Not being a wine drinker for as long as Mr. Parker has been a critic I cannot tell how he might have changed the world of wine beyond observing how hyper-marketing is driving wine-making. But, marketing should make for happier customers so it's all good. Otherwise, I look forward to the changes in wine-taste that will have been brought about by some Chinese palate of the future. Kudos to Charlie Rose for making such a wholesome show.

After Chris Matthews failed to ask any significant questions to the Republican candidates which did not permit any one of them to spell out any solutions for the US and world, will you please interview each of the candidates for at least half an hour (starting with what you think is the worst to the best) so that we the people may understand what plans they have for our nation and world? I suggest you do the interviews ahead of time so that each does not hear the other's answer before giving his own.

As a longtime watcher, this is one of my favorite episodes too. Parker has a job of which I'm sure we're all a bit envious. It is also fun to see Charlie out from the black background and table and in the interviewee's home environment surrounded by scores of bottles. Great episode. Now for some burgundy...
