Description

An hour conversation with Dr. Eric Lander, director of the Whitehead Institute's Center for Genome Research, about his team's effort to decode DNA and the mapping of the human genome as the compilation of a "parts list". Lander discusses how scientists must work towards understanding how different DNA parts function as a whole with the larger goal of understanding how the genome can be repaired and perfected for optimal performance.
