I, America, the planet, common, decent, intellectual conversation misses Senator Wellstone. He had that singular quality found in the liberal mind - - common sense. A rare quality found so wanting today from all sides and political extremes; and a quality evidentially found here by the brave and brilliant Professor .. Thank you, Doctor .. Have you any more illuminating nuggets of sententious and contributive wisdom, Dr. .?

Paul Wellstone was a wellspring of hope for American politics. It has been five years since his death and I see no heir apparent on the horizon.
