Unlike Al Pacino or Robert De Niro, Mel Gibson continues to make daring film choices and courageously experiment with new concepts. His most recent effort, "Apocalypto", topped the box office on its opening weekend despite being shot in a dead language (Yucatec Maya) with subtitles and a cast of unknown actors. Likewise, "Passion of The Christ" turned out to be the highest grossing rated "R" film of all time despite considerable odds. Would love to see Gibson interviewed by Charlie again sometime...
