      I can't add much to what's been written, except to say Mr. Newman made a difference. His early movies became rites of

      passage for a guy my age. He was helping the less fortunate

      long before he became an actor. He did even more after his

      Salad Dressings became popular. RIP, sir.

      I have to keep reminding myself that he had such a long and fulfilling life because even at 83, it feels premature. He started out good and just got better and better.

      As much as I have deeply admired and respected Paul Newman for a very long time, I am still suprised to find how devastated I am by his passing.
