      It is quite incredible to go back after 3.5

      years and realize that Fawaz Gerges was right

      on literally everything that would eventually

      occur, after only 6 days into the invasion.

      General Odom as well; Dana gently skeptical

      and correctly so; and Michael Elliot as the

      reassuring apologist for the "things can

      somehow work out okay with the aid of the

      'invisible hand' of Destiny", which makes the

      naive idealism of the sixties look pragmatic

      in comparison.
