Niall touches upon the ascent of the east at the beginning. The chance of China continuing inexorably to the summit of world wide economic dominance depends on their ability to control that mass of people their GDP depends on. The jury is still out on whether that can be accomplished. That mass is going to need to be fed and not just in ways of gastronomy. The communist world has never been too effective at containing the populist dynamic. Western affluence is no secret and its appeal is bound to complicate Chinese ascendance.

I have to laugh at your posts.Charlie wasnt that bad,and charlie is not a liberal.Try and think do viewers complain of him ebing a liberal when he has right wing guests on and people complain thats he has a conservative bias when he has left wing guests on.Oh and look at the number of times he has had right wing guests compared to left wing guests such as chomsky or nader.fools.

You took the words out of our mouths robroy. As we watched the most recent interview with Mr.Ferguson, my friend and I both repeatedly said aloud and in unison,"LET HIM ANSWER THE QUESTION!". There is little doubt as to Ferguson's knowledge and he is an incredibly clear and concise speaker. We were frustrated by Mr. Rose's constant interruptions.

I often wish Charlie would just kind of keep his mouth shut after he asks a question and let his guest answer it, without interupting and trying to answer the question himself in some witty manner that tries to show Charlie knows something. Charlie manages to bring on interesting guests, but too often tries to make himself the same or more prominent than his guest. Charlies also brings a liberal bias that just screams agenda and prejudices instead of objectivity. Charlie, just be a reporter, and remember as a host you should be secondary to your guest, not the focus yourself of the interview. And let your guest answere completely before you chime in. Charlie, I want each interview to leave me wondering "is Charlie a Democrat or Republican", instead of being resigned to conclude "oh, there's Charlie, another mainstream media Democrat." Other than that, Charlie gets an A for effort for the breadth of guests he invites.
