it was extremely interesting to notice that the "conversational approach" worked about ten times better with this interview than it did with W.
i guess that is what happens when you have an informed, articulate, intelligent individual to dialog with instead of a....sad excuse for a president with a head full of talking points.
not that i did not take issue with many of Petraeus' answers...but WOW what a difference. this general deserves better policies to be a part of enforcing and he seems to be doing his best in almost impossible circumstances.
good interview. very informative.

This was an important interview. Thank you for the excellent way you were able to bring out the information. The question I wanted you to ask, however, was to what extent is Iran involved in Iraq as a way to tie the U.S. down so that we do not shift our focus from Iraq to Iran? And, if were able to give Iran assurances that we would not (under conditions)go after them (Iran)would they then back away from their involvement in Iraq. And would that allow us more latitude to pull back from our own involvement in Iraq?

After watching Bill Moyers Journal last night regarding Selling the War, I look forward to hearing this interview tonight. I believe that all in the media have a responsibility to insist on proof and evidence for positions and news especially when we understand the vested interest in selling us a position that is backed by the administration and "leaders".
I respect you for all the great interviews you have done and the future ones you will do.
Sincerely,
Gary Anderson
