Anti-Semitism should obviously be fought wherever it exists. But we should be careful not to confuse it with anti-zionism.

Where as a person holding anti-semitic views is clearly a racist, being against zionism as a political philosophy is not racism.

I would request Charlie's viewers to appreciate the fact that historically muslim societies have not had a 2000 year (or 1400 year) old anti-semitism problem.

Long before the evolution of modern western views on racism, early muslims successfully eradicated racism from their societies simply by following Quranic commandments. Islam also promoted inter-religious harmony which is evident from long periods of peaceful and mutually beneficial coexistence of Jews, Christians, Hindus and Muslims in the lands under muslim rule.

This is not to say that there are no or have never been any anti-semitic muslims. To claim anything like that would be self-delusional.

It would be self-delusional in the same manner as assuming that some deeply inherent anti-semitism is the root cause of the widespread anger against the Israeli actions vis a vie the native population of that land.

In the end, I would like to request Charlie to do his viewers a favor by conducting a show dedicated to a dispassionate review of the zionist philosophy and the resulting plight of the native population of that land over the past 60 years or so.

Who today are being bombarded with heavy weaponry after being concentrated for years in one of the most densely populated area on the planet, with access to little food and medical supplies.

It is a duty of all fair minded people of the world to speak out against this injustice. Thanks.
