I think everyone needs time to reflect, evaluate and get reaquainted with their purpose and goals to accomplish during the time they are on the planet living the only life they will ever get and their one chance to make a print on the landscape of time on Earth.... Trey was lost and needed inspiration to be found back in 2004. I think his trials and tribulations while on hiatus are proof that we all lose our way but can come back more energetic and amazing than ever before to serve the purpose we set out to accomplish!! Heres to the lovely ladies in the front row who hopefully are back leading the funky soul shake down party today... hope they returned!!!

Charlie...what an incredible interview, which I knew nothing of until now. I agree with one of the other posts on this page... you should interview Trey again. Address the recent announcement of the return of Phish... what was the motivation, or turning point over the last 4 years that pushed them together again? So many questions and so many stories to be told. I wouldn't miss this one for the world if you were to have him back.

And now this video is null and void.
See you all at Hampton in 2009!

It is very important that you have the frontman of the most important band of the 1990's back on the program soon to discuss the state of music in America. In these troubled times in America, music needs to play a more central role and Trey has first hand experience as to how it may happen.

It's hard to explain the love I, we, feel for Trey and Phish. There is nothing better than seeing the joy in his big dog-face smile, it just brings me deep happiness, the concerts were magical. It's wonderful to hear him admit it became an excuse to go to a certain town and party, because that indeed is what it became. I truly wonder what those 30 year old stoners traveling show to show for years ,living off their parents' Visa card ,are doing now! Phish had to disband so they'd grow up. I understand and I LOVE you Trey Anastasio.

"THE Phish?"

5 Stars? No no. How many different times, and how many different ways can a guy say - or be prompted to say - I'm moving on with my life?
Pa-leeze.
I'm hopeful that part II of this interview might reveal more about Trey and Phish, the man and the band. I suppose with re: to "the man," we learn from this interview that he knows how and when to say "enough is enough," which says a lot about him as a person. But enough is enough IS enough. We didn't really need 20 minutes of this, did we?
2 Stars.
