McNerney graduated from New Trier High School in 1967. He attended Yale University, receiving a B.A. degree in 1971. At Yale he excelled in baseball and hockey. After graduating from Yale he worked for a year at both British United Provident and G. D. Searle & Company, then attended Harvard Business School, receiving a Master of Business Administration in 1975.

Boeing is a company which makes planes, does it make sense to you the CEO of such an entity ( with a $12m compensation) should have some technical qualifications in relation to engineering? Of course, McNerney can hire a chief engineer to advise him on technical matters. Then, how does a CEO who has no engineering qualification know which engineer is best qualified for the job? To hire another adviser to help him out on how to hire the best engineer?

They're are 23 MILLION Americans who can't find any work at all.

      I hate you Mark Halperin.

Sanger does not know what Clinton accomplished as secretary of State?

Brennan here and the other three are from Hagel.

      July 2008:

Brennan called for a stop to "Iran bashing."

"A critical step toward improved U.S.-Iranian relations would be for U.S. officials to cease public Iran-bashing, a tactic that may have served short-term domestic political interests but that has heretofore been wholly counterproductive to U.S. strategic interests," he wrote.

Oh Charlie, whatever would you do if this actually came true?

U.S. ambassadors shouldn't be "openly, aggressively gay"

The quote: U.S. ambassadors "are representing America.... They are representing our lifestyle, our values, our standards. And I think it is an inhibiting factor to be gay — openly, aggressively gay like Mr. Hormel — to do an effective job."

Nothing wrong here. Horny ambassadors are problem ambassadors. We need old, low-T ambassadors no matter their preference.

"I think the Pentagon needs to be pared down"

The quote: "The Defense Department, I think in many ways has been bloated.... We've taken dollars, we've taken programs, we've taken policies out of the State Department, out of a number of other departments and put them over in Defense.... The abuse and the waste and the fraud is astounding. It always is in war.... I think the Pentagon needs to be pared down. I think we need the Pentagon to look at their own priorities."

Sounds really good to me. We need more who understand this.

"The Jewish lobby intimidates a lot of people"

The quote: "The political reality is that... the Jewish lobby intimidates a lot of people up here.... I've always argued against some of the dumb things they do, because I don't think it's in the interest of Israel.... I'm not an Israeli senator. I'm a United States senator. I support Israel, but my first interest is, I take an oath of office to the Constitution of the United States, not to a president, not to a party, not to Israel."

Sounds good to me. We need more who understand their oath.

Gelles, I just posted this info at the Elite Trader:

      January 8, 2013

SouthAmerica: “Central Banks and US Dollar” is a thread started by SouthAmerica and it has been going on since December 4, 2006, but the Elite Trader moderator of the economics forum closed that thread today.

I guess they are afraid of the information on that thread, and they don't want people to read the material on that thread.

The thread is too popular and informative, and a lot of people are following that thread.

SouthAmerica: Max Keiser and Stacy Herbert discuss the United States war economy.

Why the Pentagon budget is off the table?

Because it is where the real money is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In this episode, Max Keiser and Stacy Herbert discuss the butch welfare Queens in Virginia, Maryland and DC who rely on the 'untouchable' Pentagon budget. They also discuss the US deploying both its FMDs -- "financial extortion", "monetisation" and "devaluation" -- to finance its debt and deficit requirements and its troops to 35 African nations.

In the second half of the show, Max Keiser talks to Dan Collins of TheChinaMoneyReport.com about the petro-yuan, China's gold and the problem with the fact that nobody in Africa wants to buy America's opium - credit default swaps.

Lindsey Graham served in the Air Force from 1982-1988 after obtaining his law degree. During the Gulf War he was recalled to active duty and served in the JAG in South Carolina. He transferred from the Air National Guard to the Air Force Reserve and Bush promoted him to colonel. In 1998, according to The Hill, Graham was describing himself on his website as a Desert Shield and Desert Storm veteran. Mitch McConnell enlisted in the Army Reserve during Vietnam, but received a medical discharge. Chuck Schumer had a relatively high Vietnam draft number, but in any case, did not serve either. John Cornyn is the son of an AF colonel but that's as close to the military as he himself has got. Ted Cruz has never served. Paul Wolfowitz, Karl Rove, Barney Frank, Dick Cheney, Rush Limbaugh, Rich Lowry, and even Charlie Rose have not served. And I'm sure I could find others among the naysayers. Pancetta was in intelligence during Vietnam, as was Gates. Rumsfeld was a naval aviator from 1954-57. Tho Cohen, Brown and Schlesinger spent no time in the military, Perry, Aspin, Carlucci, Weinberger, Richardson, Kleindienst, Mitchell, Clark, Katzenbach and even Bobby Kennedy did. While I would not necessarily want to see the "Defense Dept" run by a general, esp not an AF general, or, God forbid, an admiral, I do think the office deserves someone with some experience in the matter and that those passing judgment without it should in this instance recuse themselves.
