JAKE; DOESN'T THROW CURVES[FALSE DETOURS] THUS THE REAL OBJECTION THAT MOST FOLKS HAVE; ALTHOUGH THEY DON'T SAY IT,IS THAT HE'S SMARTER THAN HIS QUESTIONS BELY AND THOSE WHO GET ASKED ARE, WELL--CRETONS BY COMPARISON!

Wasn't Afganistan the "good war" according to Obama? And wasn't it also a "necessary war" for him to get elected/reelected? Rose could know a lot more about this subject if he had volunteered for Vietnam, but perhaps he had more more necessary and good things to do.

Jake, please watch "Prime Minister's Questions" weekly on C-SPAN so you will know what should really happen to our leader.

We treat our President like a King when he has to answer questions--which, of course, is ironic.

Jake, you also dated Monica Lewinsky?

No wonder Secretary, no Senator, no Secretary Clinton told you that they call you names when you are not around.

The banning of Fox News and Mr. Tapper:

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs: We render opinion based on some their coverage and the fairness of that coverage.

Tapper: That's a pretty sweeping declaration that they're not a news organization. How are they different from, say another, say ABC, MSNBC, Univision?

Gibbs: You and I should watch sometime around 9 o'clock tonight or five this afternoon.

Tapper: I'm not talking about their opinion programs. Or issues you have with certain reports. I'm talking about saying that thousands of individuals who work for a media organization do not work for a news organization. Why is that appropriate for the White House to say?

      Gibbs: That is our opinion.

The number one job at Fox News is to form a common talking point for all their talking heads (women should be blonde) so Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert can provide comedy relief for the educated portion of our society.

Then Charlie Rose comes along later to provide the serious side.

Perhaps Mr. Tapper you might join me for some laugh-out-loud fun at "The Daily Show" and "The Colbert Report" of which over 50% (best guess) is supplied by Fox "NOT" News.

Fox News and the Cartoon Network should both be in the White House Correspondents Association and cover all the news.

      Point Of Clarification:

"One mans death is a tragedy and the death of a million men is a statistic." Stalin

Cannon fodder. Thinking in terms of the 20 million lost by the USSR in World War II, or the similarly staggering numbers lost in our Civil War or the Iran/Iraq war in the 1980s, or even the 40,000 lost in the last couple of years in Syria, it comes into focus for a new father weighing the amount of emotional investment, the hours and effort, that go to create one young soldier, such as he took the time to find out about and describe. What I think is the appropriate response, the next part of the sort of dialogue the book seems to initiate, would be a book by a young father on the other side of the divide, such as it is. Father by father, back and forth, until better solutions are found. But it does seem to me, bearing in mind certain young brothers, that young men are wired for courage and teamwork; you might say wired for war. It's probably a survival mechanism: aggression, competitiveness, war. Or has been.

The thing that Mr Tapper repeatedly said during this interview was, "That he wanted to know more." Mr Tapper is clearly a man who wrestles with lions in the night to resolve issues. He wants to find out "why." The other thing that Mr Tapper said several times was, "That this story snapped him out of a stupor." In other words Mr Tapper had an epiphany, a moment of clarity in which he saw the world as it truly is. However one thinks that Mr Tappers defining moment which led up to his new found clarity was when he confronted the White House Press Secretary John Gibbs about having Fox News banned from the White House press pool. That act of courage defined him as a man who stands up for his convictions and the truth of the matter. One would hope that Mr Tapper with his new found clarity would press forward with pursuing the truth of the matter with determination, for not only will it pay dividends for himself but his children as well. As they will learn from him and benifit from the knowledge that clarity brings. So more power to Mr Tapper.

This is what happens when you have a standing army with virtually unlimited funding. When no goals are set, troops returned to battle time and again, and the best and brightest leave. BTW, all the units mentioned are part of the 1st Cav Div.
